Twelve years after packing out the same open-air venue, Slash is coming back to Zagreb. The Guns N' Roses guitarist will play Šalata on 12 July 2027 with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, in what's the first major concert announcement for the Croatian capital in 2027.
The timing is no accident. The band has a new album, "Flying Blind", due in February 2027, so expect a setlist that mixes fresh material with Slash's solo catalogue, covers, and — the big draw — Guns N' Roses classics. Think "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City" and "November Rain", plus likely appearances from Velvet Revolver's "Slither" and "Anastasia" from his work with Kennedy and the band.
Slash (real name Saul Hudson) is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and a fixture at the top of pretty much every greatest-guitarist list going. His partnership with Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy has already produced four albums, including 2022's "4", and the pair last played this very Zagreb venue together back in June 2015 to a sold-out crowd. Kennedy himself is a familiar face in Croatia, having toured there twice with Alter Bridge.
Practical stuff: tickets go on sale on 9 October at 10am, and the pricing rewards quick fingers. The first 1,000 early-bird standing tickets cost €52, rising to €56 after that, with side-stand tickets at €77. You can buy through Core Event, Dirty Old Shop, Rockmark or Dallas Music Shop in Rijeka.
For travellers, this is a decent excuse to build a city break around a gig. Zagreb in July is warm and lively, Šalata is a pleasant open-air spot close to the city centre, and even with flights and a couple of nights you're looking at a very reasonable summer trip. Glastonbury this is not — price-wise, at least.
