Tampines 1, one of three malls clustered around Tampines MRT in eastern Singapore, has wrapped up a refresh of its entire Level 3, and the new tenant lineup leans hard into hobby culture and comfort food. Most of the new shops opened at the end of October 2026, several with opening promotions worth timing a visit around.
Collectors get the lion's share of the floor. Box Hunt (#03-19) is a blind box specialist stocking franchises like Sanrio, Winnie the Pooh, Butterbear and Smiski, plus One Piece and Pokémon trading card game stock and Nintendo Switch titles, with in-store tables set aside for trading and game sessions. Its reopening deal runs Buy 3 Get 1 Free on blind boxes. Next door, KPOP HOUSE (#03-21) carries albums and merch from acts like LE SSERAFIM, ATEEZ, ILLIT and CORTIS, along with light sticks and apparel ahead of upcoming Singapore concerts, and has space for fan events. It's offering 8% off storewide until 31 December 2026, and hosts STiiKERS, a Korean photo-sticker customisation experience that's among the first of its kind in Singapore.
FUNCLAW & ORODOKI (#03-20, daily 10am-10pm) piles together claw machines and gachapon, with Pokémon plushies and anime series from Jujutsu Kaisen to Crayon Shin-chan in the mix. Tokens start at $2 for two, and the outlet has launched the first FUNCLAW Redemption Vending Machine, letting players convert points into prizes on the spot. Mind the fine print: claw machine and gachapon tokens come from separate machines and can't be swapped.
The sweet tooth is well covered too. Geláre (#03-K6) returns with its dense, low-air ice cream and waffles from $9.90, croffles from $6.90 and milkshakes from $7.90, and is marking the opening with four weeks of 1-for-1 deals on waffles, single-scoop ice creams, coffee and mocktails, and croffles. Awfully Chocolate (#03-K5) debuts a new beverage bar concept with chocolate on tap, affogatos, cacao teas, chocolate cocktails and gelato, all prepared in an open kitchen.
For proper meals, Lau Wang Claypot Delights (#03-16/K8, 11am-9.30pm) does claypot staples like Sesame Oil Chicken from $7.50 and Sambal Seafood at $13, with free membership deals and e-voucher giveaways on its socials. A Kitchen (#03-17) is back after closing for the renovation, serving Dongbei and Sichuan dishes like Signature Stone Pot Fish ($38.05) and Mala Grilled Fish ($40.88) — plus weekday lunch sets from a wallet-friendly $5.80.
Also on the level: returning tenants Happie Home Studio, Komme, Shine Korea, Popeyes, British Essential and MyRepublic. Note that the Daiso has moved out of Tampines 1 entirely — it now sits in neighbouring Century Square, about an eight-minute walk away, sharing space with sister brand Standard Products.
For travellers staying in Singapore's east or anything near Changi, this makes an easy half-day detour: malls within walking distance of one MRT stop, and the opening deals are best grabbed before the crowds catch on. Thanks to The Smart Local for the original coverage.
