If the idea of four days in a muddy British field fills you with dread, Europe offers a friendlier alternative — and the 2027 season is shaping up early, with dates and even tickets already on sale for several major events.
The big names move fast. Sziget in Budapest runs 10–14 August 2027 on Óbuda Island in the Danube, and five-day passes are already listed from €349 plus a booking fee, with discounted options for under-21s. Previous editions have mixed pop, rock and electronic acts across stages alongside circus performances and art installations — and the city's thermal baths and ruin bars make it an easy festival-plus-city-break combo.
Croatia continues its run as Europe's party coast. Terminal V takes over The Garden Resort in Tisno from 15–19 July, with beachside stages, boat parties and afterparties at Barbarella's Discotheque running until sunrise — early bird tickets have already gone, so watch for further releases. Hideout returns to Pag island's Zrće Beach from 29 June to 2 July, with five open-air beachfront venues, pool parties and shuttles from Novalja. Tickets drop in November 2026.
Not everything happens in summer heat. Snowboxx (13–20 March 2027) turns the car-free ski resort of Avoriaz in the French Alps into a week of slopes by day and DJ sets by night, with past editions featuring Pendulum and Groove Armada. Accommodation packages and discounted lift passes are available through the festival, though early allocations have sold out — the next release lands on 29 October 2026.
Elsewhere: Mysteryland returns near Amsterdam on 27–29 August 2027 after a year off, with pre-registration open; Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium hasn't confirmed dates but ticket info is expected in December 2026; Les Plages Électroniques puts DJs on the sand beside Cannes' Palais des Festivals from 6–8 August, with tickets already on sale; and Brunch Electronik hits Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum the same weekend.
Budget travellers should keep an eye on Malta's SummerDaze — 2026 tickets cost just €10 for headline sets from Calvin Harris and Lewis Capaldi. For something less electronic, there's Roskilde in Denmark, Montreux Jazz in Switzerland, Hellfest for rock fans in France, and Tempo Latino, one of Europe's biggest Latin and Afro-Cuban celebrations, in a small town in the country's southwest.
The practical upshot: the most popular events sell out months in advance, and 2027 is no exception. If a beach rave in Croatia or a snowbound party in the Alps is on your list for next year, the time to register or buy is now — several early-bird allocations are already gone.
