Autumn on Lake Garda means thinner crowds, softer light and mild days — and the Cape of Senses, an adults-only resort on the lake's shores, has packaged the season around two very different ways to spend it: golf and road cycling.

The first is a four-night golf package for two. It covers a suite, daily buffet breakfast, dinner from the à la carte menu at the resort's Al Tramonto restaurant, and up to three green fees at some of the most scenic golf courses ringing Lake Garda. On playing days, guests get picnic lunch boxes — two per person — plus a back massage and five days of access to the Senses Spa and its wellness programme. The deal runs for stays through 6 January 2027 and again from 1 March 2027 through 6 January 2028, which makes it workable as both an off-season escape and a spring trip.

The second package swaps clubs for handlebars. Also four nights for two, it includes a suite with breakfast, à la carte dining at Al Tramonto, a high-end road bike rental for three days and a welcome healthy kit in the room. Each guest gets one sports massage, and the resort will arrange a guided ride on iconic Lake Garda routes and shuttle transfers to scenic starting points on request — handy in a region where the good climbs don't all start at the front door. Laundry service (a cyclist's best friend) and Senses Spa access round it out. This one is valid for stays through 6 January.

Both offers lean on the same core appeal: a quiet, adults-only base with spa time built in, so days on the fairways or the hills end with a massage and a proper dinner rather than a rushed buffet. Lake Garda's microclimate keeps autumn temperatures pleasantly mild compared with much of northern Europe, and the surrounding course-and-mountain terrain is a genuine draw for golfers and road cyclists alike — this is classic Giro d'Italia country.

For travellers, these packages remove most of the usual friction of an active break. Green fees and bike hire are sorted, meals are included, and the spa element turns a sporty trip into something closer to a proper holiday. It suits couples with different energy levels, too: one can play 18 holes while the other books into the spa, and they reconvene over dinner at sunset. Book directly through the resort's website; the long validity window means there's no need to commit to dates immediately.
