The 2027 Calgary Stampede is still months away, but its concert lineup is already filling up. Country singer Megan Moroney has been announced as a headliner for the Stampede Concert Series, bringing her Cloud 9 Tour to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday, July 13, 2027.

Moroney, a Georgia-born songwriter often called the "Emo Cowgirl" for her frank songs about heartbreak, broke through in 2022 with "Tennessee Orange." She's since released the albums "Lucky" and "Am I Okay?", picked up multiple platinum certifications and sold out tours along the way. Her set lands mid-way through the 2027 Stampede, which runs July 9 to 18. The show is part of the Stampede Concert Series presented by Uber Eats, and joins an already announced bill that includes rock band Greta Van Fleet — with more artists still to be revealed.

Tickets go on general sale Friday, Oct. 30, 2026 at 10 a.m. Mountain Time via Ticketmaster. Calgary Stampede Insiders get early access two days earlier, on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Prices haven't been published yet, and neither has the start time.

One detail worth flagging for out-of-town visitors: your concert ticket doubles as same-day entry to Stampede Park, so you can work the midway, rides and rodeo grounds into the afternoon before walking to the show. The Saddledome sits right beside Stampede Park, which makes for an easy transition but a very busy neighbourhood during peak hours. Locals recommend taking the CTrain or a rideshare rather than driving — parking near the grounds fills fast and costs add up.

For anyone weighing a summer trip to Alberta, the Stampede is one of those events where the music is only part of the pull. Ten days of rodeo, parade day, chuckwagon racing and fairground food draw over a million visitors, and the evening concert series is included in the park atmosphere rather than a separate festival ticket. Booking accommodation early matters, though — hotel prices in Calgary spike noticeably during Stampede week, and the July 13 date falls right in the thick of it. If you're flying in for Moroney specifically, note that tickets won't even go on sale until late October 2026, so there's time to plan flights and rooms around the show date first.
