If your October travel plans include Thailand, expect more than pumpkin lattes. Central Pattana is staging Halloween Fest 2026 under a 'Music & Monster' theme, transforming Central malls nationwide into a spooky playground blending live music, monsters and shopping from now until October 31.
The twist this year is sound. Partnering with Universal Music Thailand, the festival puts together a special playlist of more than 50 songs that plays across the shopping centres, alongside Halloween parties and spooky activities — so the atmosphere shifts from standard mall hum to something closer to a seasonal soundtrack.
Visitors can hunt down 31 haunted attractions spread across selected Central branches, plus an 'extreme terror' experience for those who like their scares serious. The headline attraction is the return of Spooky Boo, the giant ghost that previously appeared in front of CentralWorld and became the talk of the town — this time paired with a giant ghostly Christmas tree in the heart of Bangkok for an odd, seasonal mash-up.
Music lovers get their share too. The festival features dance challenges and dance performances, including cover dance, through a special curated showcase by Universal Music Thailand at 16 Central branches, while artists and JDS perform live at nine branches.
Families are well covered. CentralChaengwattana, CentralWestville, CentralEastville and Central Rama are running Halloween-themed fun including face painting, a costume contest, a kids' parade, a pet parade, a trick-or-treat session, and arts and crafts workshops.
Halloween Day itself (October 31) stacks up the biggest draws: the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2026 plus a party at CentralPattaya, the Halloween Monster Run at CentralKorat, exclusive screenings of Halloween horror films, and a talk session at CentralRatchada. Details are on the Central Pattana Facebook page.
For travellers, the appeal is practical as much as festive. Central malls are everywhere in Thailand — Bangkok, the provinces, the beach resorts — so even a casual shopping stop in late October will come with costumed staff, decorations and events. It's an easy, air-conditioned way to experience a Western-style Halloween with distinctly Thai showmanship, and it doubles as a break from the heat between temple visits or beach time. If you're in Pattaya or Korat on the 31st, the races and runs add an outdoor, participatory element worth planning around.
