Australia's biggest online fashion retailer has become the first flagship retail partner of World360 Rewards, the loyalty program run by Flight Centre Travel Group. From now on, shopping for clothes, shoes or lifestyle gear at THE ICONIC can quietly build a points balance you can cash in on flights, hotels, cruises and tours.

The launch comes with a bonus: members earn six points per dollar at THE ICONIC until 21 October 2026, after which it settles to four points per dollar. There's one catch worth remembering — you have to shop through a logged-in World360 Rewards account for the points to land. The program estimates a $300 spend on things like kids' swimwear or a family suitcase would bank 1,800 points during the bonus period.

THE ICONIC isn't joining an empty room. World360 Rewards already links more than 300 retailers, including Pet Circle, JB Hi-Fi Business and Coles, plus recent tie-ups with Qantas, LendUs, Bupa and HelloFresh. On the redemption side, points can be put towards anything bookable across Flight Centre's brands — Flight Centre itself, Travel Associates and Cruiseabout — spanning more than 500 airlines, 900,000 hotels, over 40 cruise lines and 300,000 tours.

The logic behind the pairing is simple. World360's own Traveller Insights Survey found that 74 per cent of travellers buy new clothing before a trip, so the program is effectively claiming that pre-holiday shopping as part of the travel budget. Buy the wardrobe, earn the points, put them towards the getaway. Timing is deliberate too — the bonus is pitched squarely at the end-of-year shopping run, when holiday wardrobes and Christmas lists overlap.

For everyday travellers, this is a low-effort earn: if you already shop at THE ICONIC and book through Flight Centre or its sister brands, the same spending now does double duty. Points accrued on fashion and lifestyle purchases feed into the same pool you'd redeem against a big overseas trip or a domestic sports-event weekend. It won't replace a frequent flyer strategy, but as free accelerants go, a 50 per cent launch bonus on clothes you were buying anyway is a decent one.

It also signals where retail-travel loyalty is heading: your points balance may already be growing towards your next trip before you've spoken to a travel agent. First reported by Karryon.
