TUI's newest cruise ship has barely finished its debut Mediterranean summer, but the winter schedule is already looking like the more interesting half of its first year. Mein Schiff Flow, the second vessel in the line's InTUItion class, was christened in Trieste in June and now heads into a festive season that stretches from Copenhagen's Christmas markets all the way to the Caribbean.
December starts gently, with short hops from northern Germany. The three-night "Hygge Moments in Copenhagen" sailing (Kiel to Hamburg, December 6-9, 2026) is priced from €499 per person and is essentially a Christmas-market trip with a ship attached. Two seven-night roundtrips from Hamburg follow: "Diversity of Norway", which takes in the country's scenic west coast and the Aurlandsfjord, and "Diversity of Western Europe", calling at London, Paris, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam for a pre-Christmas city sweep.
For anyone who wants to skip the cooking entirely, the 11-night "Holidays in Western Europe" itinerary does Christmas at sea aboard the ship itself, then rings in the New Year in the port of Paris. Onboard, the line is leaning hard into the festive theme: a Christmas market on deck with vegetarian and vegan dishes, a Santa visit, evening shows, and a Kids' Club running Christmas storytelling, cookie baking and crafts while adults retreat to the spa.
Once the decorations come down, the tone shifts. A 19-night "Timeless Canaries" cruise (January 3-22, 2027, from €2,899) swaps the cold for Madeira, Tenerife and Lanzarote, with a fairly packed entertainment bill including singer Joy Peters, comedian Sascha Thamm, magician Oliver Pfundt and pop star Patrick Lindner.
The headline act, though, is what comes next. On January 22, 2027, Mein Schiff Flow sets off on its first transatlantic crossing — a 36-day Caribbean voyage running to February 27, 2027, from €6,199 per person. TUI is loading it with themed extras: chef Cornelia Poletto hosting a deckside aperitivo, an Italian pasta party and wine-paired signature menus; guest authors Regine Kölpin and Torsten Rode running reading and writing workshops; and a dance-and-yoga duo leading exercise sessions, alongside comedians, singers and magicians. Caribbean-themed evenings, tastings and a poolside BBQ round it off.
Why it matters: this is a genuinely wide choice of winter formats on one brand-new ship — from a sub-€500 market-hopping long weekend to a five-week sun chase — and the fares per night drop sharply the longer you sail. Families with kids get the most out of the Christmas departures, while the Canaries and Caribbean sailings suit retirees and remote workers with flexible time who want entertainment baked in. Note that the programme is heavily German-facing (Hamburg and Kiel departures, German-speaking performers), so it will feel most natural for German speakers, though nothing stops anyone else booking.
