If your autumn 2026 plans need a soundtrack, Đà Lạt may have it covered. The Việt Nam Jazz Heritage Festival runs from November 6 to 8 in the city's Xuân Hương-Đà Lạt Ward, timed to sit inside the 11th Đà Lạt Flower Festival — so you get music and flowers in the same trip.
The big opening night is set for Lâm Viên Square beside Xuân Hương Lake, running 5pm to 10pm on Friday November 6. The bill mixes serious international names with Vietnamese favourites: Japan's Lisa Ono, the bossa nova singer with a devoted global following, South Korean acts DaDaDa and JKC, and US bassist-singer Nik West plus Raul Mi'Don. On the home side, expect the Yellow Star Bigband, Hoài Sa and Trần Thu Hà. A low-altitude fireworks display at the opening is planned, pending approval.
Saturday shifts to the city centre, with performances 6pm to 9pm outside the April 3 Theatre in the Hòa Bình central area. JKC and DaDaDa return, alongside Song Như, Cá Trê, Mekong Bigband and Yellow Star Bigband. There's also a guest-only programme on the evenings of November 7 and 8 at the Haus Đà Lạt project, where the line-up is stacked with Vietnamese stars — Hồng Nhung, Đức Trí, Bùi Lan Hương, Lân Nhã and Bình An — plus the France-based Nguyễn Lê Band and Musique De Salon. Unless you score an invite, the two public evenings are your window in.
The provincial government is treating the festival as a tourism play as much as a cultural one. It bolsters Đà Lạt's credentials as a UNESCO Creative City of Music, and officials have asked Liên Khương International Airport to work with airlines on extra flights and smoother arrivals for the weekend. Organising costs are being covered privately by Dalat Land Investment-Construction-Trading JSC.
For travellers, the pitch is simple: a cool-climate hill city, famous for pine hills, French colonial villas and year-round flowers, hosting free open-air jazz by its central lake. Đà Lạt is an easy domestic hop from Ho Chi Minh City — roughly an hour by plane, or a scenic few hours by road — and November sits in the run-up to the dry season, when the city is green and the weather is crisp. Pair an evening of jazz with daytime wandering through the Flower Festival displays and the central market, and you've got a weekend that punches well above its price tag.
