Pokémon collectors, mark your calendars: McDonald's Singapore has confirmed that its limited-time Pokémon Happy Meal will land in December 2026. An exact date hasn't been announced yet, so anyone keen on the full set should keep an eye on McDonald's Singapore's Instagram, where the launch date will presumably drop first.

This isn't the standard red box with golden arches. The Happy Meal packaging itself gets a Pokémon redesign, with three different box designs starring Pikachu, Umbreon and Torchic.

The real hook is what's inside. Each meal includes one of 15 collectible mini box charms modelled after a lineup of fan favourites: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Cubone, Pikachu, Eevee, Umbreon, Torchic, Piplup, Oshawott, Minccino, Espurr, Rowlet, Sobble and Sprigatito. They're not just shelf ornaments — each mini box converts into a charm you can clip onto a bag or use as a keychain.

On top of the toy, every Happy Meal comes with two Pokémon Trading Card Game cards. There are 15 cards to collect in total, seven of which are foil variants. The roster includes Zoroark, Metagross, Jirachi, Eevee, Snorlax, Wooloo, Decidueye, Chandelure, Palafin, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Lucario, Hawlucha, Tyranitar and Absol. Between the charms and the cards, completing the set will take more than a few trips through the drive-thru.

The rollout is staggered globally, with different countries getting the promotion at different times — Singapore's slot is December 2026. Expect queues at outlets across the island when it lands, especially early in the run, since these Happy Meal collabs tend to sell out of popular characters fast and resellers often clear out stock in the first days.

For travellers, it's a fun, cheap souvenir angle if you happen to be in Singapore during the promo window: a Happy Meal plus a handful of exclusive Pokémon collectibles costs a fraction of what similar merch goes for in stores. For locals and plan-ahead collectors, the smart move is simple — follow McDonald's Singapore's socials now, note the launch date when it's confirmed, and go early rather than late.
