An American university degree, earned on the Adriatic — that is the pitch RIT Croatia is making to families around the world, and it is hosting a live online session for anyone curious about how it works.
The Zoom info session takes place on Saturday, 28 November 2026 at 10:00 am ET / 4:00 pm CET. Admissions counsellors will walk attendees through campus life in Zagreb and Dubrovnik, entry requirements, living costs and scholarships. The Zoom link is rit.zoom.us/j/98148116234, meeting ID 981 4811 6234.
RIT Croatia has been operating for almost 30 years as a global campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Its unusual selling point is a double diploma: graduates receive an American degree from RIT plus a Croatian degree recognised across Europe. Everything is taught in English, which removes the language barrier for second- and third-generation Croatians raised abroad.
The academics are career-focused. Zagreb hosts degrees in Cybersecurity, Global Business Management and New Media Design, while Dubrovnik runs a Hospitality and Tourism Management programme — a fitting home on Croatia's most famous tourist coast. Information Technology is offered on both campuses. Every student completes 400 to 800 hours of mandatory co-op work placements before graduating, and exchange options run through Erasmus+ and RIT's network, including Rochester and Dubai. The alumni base now tops 3,500 graduates working in more than 60 countries.
Money matters are covered too. High school seniors with strong academic records automatically receive a €4,000 scholarship, and over 90% of applicants get some form of financial aid. Applications submitted before the Early Admission deadline of 15 February 2027 get a leg up on both admission and funding.
For diaspora families, the appeal is obvious: a young adult can study in English, gain American-accredited qualifications, build work experience, and do it all in the country their grandparents came from. Even for those without Croatian roots, the dual-degree structure and coastal Dubrovnik campus make it a distinctive option for studying in Europe. Questions can go to the Admissions Office at [email protected], or by phone in Zagreb (+385 1 643 9100) or Dubrovnik (+385 20 433 000).
