Delta has mapped out its biggest spring push yet from Boston Logan, adding nonstop capacity to six sun destinations for the April 2027 Patriots' Day and school vacation window. Aruba comes out on top with five extra weekly flights, lifting the route to as many as 12 departures a week — the largest single increase in the plan.
The timing matters because April school calendars leave families with little wiggle room. Delta is targeting peak travel dates of April 16–18 and April 22–25, spread across a roughly 10-day expansion window. Across its full leisure package, including domestic routes to Florida and the Southeast, the airline plans more than 45 additional round trips and around 6,000 extra seats — about 15 percent more than the comparable 2026 period.
Beyond Aruba, three routes each rise to as many as eight weekly flights with a new Saturday departure: San Juan, Punta Cana and Cancun. Saturdays tend to anchor a classic week away, so an extra departure on that day widens the options for families locking in fixed check-in dates. The three destinations cover distinctly different holidays — city-and-beach in Old San Juan, all-inclusive resort living in Punta Cana, or the Hotel Zone and Riviera Maya from Cancun.
Turks and Caicos gets a second weekly flight, another Saturday departure to Providenciales, the gateway to Grace Bay's beach and snorkeling scene. Nassau's schedule stretches into Sundays, reaching up to five weekly flights — handy if a Saturday start doesn't work, or for stitching together a shorter Bahamas break across New Providence and Paradise Island.
One caveat from the airline itself: these are planned peak-season frequencies, not guaranteed daily schedules, and they remain subject to change. Twelve weekly flights to Aruba doesn't mean two departures every day, and Providenciales at two a week means checking exactly which days operate before booking accommodation. The practical move is to fix your April dates first, then compare nonstop options in both directions before committing to hotels.
For Boston-based travellers — especially families tied to school breaks — this is a meaningful upgrade. Nonstops to Eagle Beach, Grace Bay or the Bahamas without a connection through a Miami or Atlanta hub can reclaim half a day of holiday each way, and the added frequencies should also soften fares in what is usually a pricey shoulder-season window.
